Many teachers know that time, energy and frustration could be saved if touch-typing were

learned in Primary schools but the number of touch-typing programs, or course books,

for this age group is limited

To widen the choice Patricia Mayhew, an experienced Primary school teacher and qualified typist,

devised the 'Read and Type - A Gift for Life' touch-typing course

This self-teaching course is used in Primary, Secondary and Special schools and by

Learning Support teachers for those with Special Needs and those learning at home

Well structured and easy to learn, 'Read and Type' is  suitable  for  all  ages  and  abilities

from  8  years  of  age  and  those for whom English is not their mother tongue

The course can be completed in 3-4 months, or less, according to age, ability and application

Progress can easily be monitored and recorded

This touch-typing course is available in book and worksheet formats

'Read and Type - A Gift  for  Life' complies with  the ICT 5 -14 National Curriculum Guidelines and lays foundations upon which the National Curriculum for English is built
